FE14 thing: Charisma Leon

It has recently come to my attention that Leon in FE14 has become a popular “Charisma Bot”, as a Charisma Bot is seen from FE characters and skills throughout the series in different forms(Rachesis from FE4, Nanna and Delmud from FE4/5, Blood/White/Black Tide from FE10, and Charm from FE13). Honestly, upon playing a higher difficulty, I find such a utility unit incredibly useful, because FE14 is nothing like FE13; you just can’t solo an entire field with one unit.

This カリスマレオン (Charisma Leon) will usually have four skills:

* Devilish Wind: Enemies ~2 tiles away from this unit takes 2 extra magicial damage. (Dark Mage Lv10, comes with skill)
* Distinguished Son: Females ~2 tiles away from this unit receives 2 less damage. (Rod Knight Lv10)
* Charm: Allies ~2 tiles away from this unit inflicts 2 extra damage. (Star Lord Lv10; this promotion item is free via DLC)
* Battle Command: Allies ~2 tiles away from this unit receives 2 less damage and inflicts 2 extra damage. (Strategist Lv15)
** Optionally, the website also suggests Rescue, which is available if Leon makes an A+ support with Marx. (Social Knight Lv10)

The final result would look something like this:
* No matter who he supports, there will be a +4 damage increase and -2 damage reduction.
* If this is a female, the reduction becomes -4.
* If this is a magical user, the damage becomes +6.
* And if this is a female magical user… Need I explain more?

Since you’ll have Leon starting at Lv1 or Lv2 promoted, the guide recommends:
– Change into Star Lord first and reach Lv24-25 there.
– (If your Leon can change into a Social Knight, also do so here and gain 2 levels.)
– Next, reclass to Strategist and keep him there until Lv15.
Reclass into either Dark Knight or Sorcerer.

My preference is Dark Knight because of the Lifetaker skill. Strategist is good for Leon, too. In fact, the guide actually recommends Strategist over Dark Knight.
